We aim to discover the story and intrinsic value of common goods that play an inconspicuous role in everyday life. Therefore, we are determined to host various creative lifestyle festivals, illustration exhibitions, pop-ups and more to provide people the opportunity to explore and expand their interest in life.
Cafe & Select Shop
In 2022, we opened our Cafe & Select Shop, which gave our market goers a permanent location to connect with us. Common Rare is not just a movement and a symbol, but also a “lifestyle”. Beyond the offline events that Common Rare is known for, we’re also a full-service creative agency that finds joy in creating work that can leave a lasting impression.
What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead.

Meet the Founder
Vivian and Tiffany’s partnership began in Shanghai, where the Taiwan-born duo bonded during their school years.
While Tiffany studied Design at Otis College of Art and Design and Vivian pursued Marketing at UC Irvine, they discovered California’s vibrant lifestyle markets - an experience that would later inspire Common Rare.
After graduation, Tiffany brought 4A agency creativity to Shanghai while Vivian applied communication expertise from previous fashion marketing firm. These complementary skills, combined with their shared passion for grassroots creative communities, formed the foundation of Common Rare’s unique vision:
transplanting California’s “shop local” energy to Shanghai’s urban landscape.
